Web conferencing service rates defined Rates for services are posted at the following location: http://www.its.state.nc.us/About/Rates/2003/VNS.asp Web conferencing is sold on a per seat basis and is sold by the week, month and year. Web Conferencing Seats are defined as a single instance of the application on a single workstation. Each participant and moderator connecting to the session from their workstation is considered a seat. For Instance: a moderator training a single participant would be considered two seats for the duration of the session. The same moderator can train another individual at another location after the first session is over and they would still be using only two seats but at a different time. Two or more users holding a conference at the same time would be defined as ‘concurrent users’. If a moderator has a session established with a single participant but the single participant’s workstation is connected to a projector in a classroom with 30 students, they are still only using 2 seats. More than two seats should be purchased when you have multiple participants across the state that are all required to attend a meeting at the same time.
